Poland's Sejm passed an amendment to the oil reserves law introducing official maximum retail prices for petrol and diesel. A second law was also passed allowing the finance minister to reduce fuel excise duty by regulation. Government spokesman Adam Szłapka urged the Senate and President to act swiftly, stating "Now it's time for the Senate and the President's signature."

Sejm uchwalił w piątek nowelizację ustawy o zapasach ropy; wprowadza ona urzędowe ceny maksymalne na benzynę i olej napędowy. Sejm uchwalił także ustawę umożliwiającą ministrowi finansów obniżenie stawki akcyzy na paliwa za pomocą rozporządzenia. "Teraz czas na Senat i podpis Prezydenta" - napisał rzecznik rządu Adam Szłapka.
