The Polish Senate approved government bills on fuel prices, reducing VAT and excise duty while introducing maximum retail prices. The legislation was set to be sent to the president for signature on the same day. The new rules are aimed at lowering prices at petrol stations.

Senat zadecydował o przyjęciu rządowych projektów ustaw dotyczących cen paliw. Nowe przepisy obniżają VAT i akcyzę na paliwa oraz wprowadzają maksymalne ceny detaliczne. Zgodnie z zapowiedziami jeszcze tego samego dnia trafią one do prezydenta.
