Warsaw Court Overturns KRRiT's 550K PLN Fine Against TVN Over 'Franciszkańska 3' Report
The Warsaw District Court overturned a KRRiT decision to fine TVN 550,000 PLN for broadcasting the report "Franciszkańska 3." The court ruled that the material was not an attack on the Catholic Church, and that discussing child protection is a cornerstone of democracy. The verdict is not yet final.
Sąd Okręgowy w Warszawie uchylił decyzję KRRiT o nałożeniu na TVN 550 tys. zł kary za emisję reportażu "Franciszkańska 3". W uzasadnieniu sąd wskazał, że materiał nie był atakiem na Kościół katolicki, a poruszanie tematu ochrony małoletnich stanowi fundament demokracji - poinformował w piątek TVN24. Wyrok jest nieprawomocny.
