Amerykanin Ilia Malinin (21 l.) zdobył trzeci z rzędu tytuł mistrza świata w łyżwiarstwie figurowym. Po programie krótkim prowadził z przewagą ponad 9 punktów nad rywalami. Finał odbył się w O2 Arena w Pradze. Japończycy Kagiyama i Sato zajęli drugą i trzecią lokatę.
