FDA recalls 650,000 bags of Zapp's and Dirty chips over salmonella risk
The US Food and Drug Administration has upgraded a recall of approximately 650,000 bags of Zapp's and Dirty brand potato chips by manufacturer Utz to its most serious level due to salmonella contamination risk. The contamination stems from dry milk powder sourced from a third-party supplier used in a seasoning ingredient. Utz had initially issued a voluntary recall in May.
