NASA launches emergency mission to save Swift Observatory from burning up
NASA's Swift Observatory, launched in 2004, is at risk of burning up in Earth's atmosphere as early as this year after solar storms pushed its orbit dangerously low. To save it, NASA enlisted Katalyst Space Technologies, whose Link spacecraft launched Friday to intercept and attempt to raise the observatory's orbit.
