Clouds reflect more sunlight than thought – warming may be slower than estimated
A new study has found that calmer winds and cleaner air cause clouds to reflect sunlight more efficiently than previously understood. This previously unknown mechanism suggests global temperatures may rise more slowly than current climate models predict. Scientists stress, however, that the threat of global warming remains real.
