Flash floods and storms hit New York area; Chicago reservoirs nearly full
Heavy rain and violent storms struck the northeastern United States on Monday, prompting flash flood warnings across the New York area along with power outages and flight delays. Near Chicago, retention reservoirs were reported to be almost completely full. Forecasters warned the situation could worsen rapidly.
