The AI race is moving so quickly right now that it can feel hard to keep up. OpenAI is taking the headlines today with the rollout of GPT-5.6 and ChatGPT Work , but a Google exec is taking a more feedback-focused approach this week, turning to social media to ask the audience a blunt question: What is Gemini still bad at?

Josh Woodward, whose X profile lists him as a VP at Google, Google Labs, Gemini App, and Google AI Studio, asked users yesterday what they were surprised Gemini still couldn’t do well and “should have fixed a long time ago.” Asking the internet anything can be a bit of a Pandora’s box, and the internet duly obliged. After more than 1,700 replies, Woodward has now shared the top 10 requests from the feedback , along with Google’s stance on each .

Destiny 2 is done: The final patch is out, Bungie is decimated, and the game will remain playable but the story of one of the biggest, best and most influential online shooters ever is over. To memorialize the moment, Bungie has rolled out one last gift for players: A new emblem, free for everyone, called Gloriabundus.

The emblem, shared on X (via Eurogamer ), is a simple one, but elegant: The Destiny logo, and a distant city skyline, bathed in light. It's a small thing overall, but the restrained styling is, I think, appropriate for the moment.

Bungie communications lead Dylan Gafner, known to the community as dmg04, also reassured players that while the end has come, Destiny 2 won't be completely abandoned and left to rot. "There may be moments where we break glass for highest priority issues (game crashes)," Gafner wrote in a separate message .

"There will indeed still be downtimes for general server maintenance/upkeep. If we have the opportunity, a small fix could sneak in here or there."

Some Destiny 2 fans have held out hope that Sony will reverse course on the game's end, particularly given the resurgence in players on Steam that followed the end-of-development announcement. But that seems extremely unlikely: Bungie's been on thin ice with Sony for at least the last couple years , and in June it laid off "most of the Destiny team" at the studio.

Authorities had accused two Mitsubishi dealer managers of selling stolen cars.

Roughly 10 months after their arrests, prosecutors dropped every charge.

One manager says he lost his home during two years he couldn’t work.

Police in Toronto, Canada , are being sued for almost CA$11 million (about $7.7 million at current rates) after two former Mitsubishi dealership managers were arrested and hit with dozens of charges as part of a sprawling auto theft investigation, only to watch every count against them collapse a year later. The two men now want the force to pay for what those arrests did to their careers.

The managers, Harris Bocknek and Fadi Zeto, ran Rouge Valley Mitsubishi in Scarborough, Ontario, until late 2023. The following summer, police opened an investigation into stolen vehicles allegedly being sold to unsuspecting customers, with investigators claiming the pair had used fake sales agreements and bought stolen cars with dealership money.

The probe was launched following an interview with the dealership’s owner. In late 2024, both Bocknek and Zeto were arrested. Bocknek was hit with 92 charges, while Zeto was charged with 84, and both had seemed set to go to trial. However, the Crown withdrew all charges in September last year, stating there was no reasonable prospect of conviction.

A lawsuit filed by the two ex-dealership managers claims that local police “made a deliberate and concerted effort to financially strangle both Plaintiffs.” The men also state that their records have not been expunged, despite the case being dropped and repeated efforts to clear their names with Toronto police.

Police May Have To Pay

According to Toronto Today , Bocknek is seeking CA$4,040,315 ($2,849,000) in general and specific damages, while Zeto wants CA$4,779,838 ($3,371,000). On top of that, each man is claiming CA$500,000 ($352,000) in aggravated damages and another CA$500,000 ($352,000) in punitive damages. The suit also demands a personal apology from local police chief Myron Demkiw.

The arrests of Bocknek and Zeto prompted the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council to revoke their licenses, making it difficult for them to find work. It’s alleged that Zeto had to move out of his home as he was unable to work for two years.

“The Defendants’ reckless, unfounded and very public portrayal of the two Plaintiffs has permanently destroyed the Plaintiffs’ ability to remain in their industry and earn a livelihood,” the lawsuit adds.

Philips Café Aromis

This espresso machine (the Philips Café Aromis 8000 Series, to give it its full name) is a premium coffee maker that looks stunning, makes sublime coffee, and is fun to use as well. It has a menu of 50 drinks — hot and cold — and is astonishingly quiet in use too thanks to cleverly designed noise shielding.

Its milk system is particularly impressive, producing different textures to suit the type of drink you're making, and because the milk never enters the body of the machine itself, it's a piece of cake to keep clean. Just detach the carafe, disassemble it into its three hard plastic components, and wash them in the top drawer of your dishwasher. There are separate carafes for hot and cold milk, and they both work equally well with dairy or plant-based equivalents.

Espresso machines with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity are quite common, but after connecting your phone, usually all you get is a simple instruction manual. Not here. The Philips Home app is styled like an AI chatbot, and asks you a series of questions about your beans and taste preferences to help tailor the brew setting to your liking. It's certainly not cheap, but it's a superb espresso machine that earned a full five stars.

Philips Baristina

Philips has been really nailing it when it comes to espresso machines this year. The Baristina is very different to the Café Aromis, but if you're new to the world of speciality coffee, or just want something reasonably affordable, it's the better choice.

This is the smallest and cheapest bean-to-cup coffee maker I've ever tested, and it's so easy to use, it's a great option for anyone thinking of making the switch from coffee capsules. Just load your beans in the top, fill the water tank, push in the empty portafilter handle, and slide it to the right. The Baristina will grind the perfect dose of coffee into the basket, tamp it down, then slide the whole handle to the left and pull the shot for you.

It's a piece of cake, and much easier to clean than a typical automatic espresso machine because there's no moisture or debris building up inside an enclosed case. The only drawback is that it can't steam milk (unless you pick up a bundle with the standalone milk frother), but Philips has just launched an updated version — the Baristina Latte — that solves that particular issue. I'm very much looking forward to testing it

Meraki Espresso Machine Gen 2

The Meraki Espresso Machine Gen 2 (available direct from Meraki in the US, and from Bella Barista in the UK) is the most stylish coffee maker we've tested so far this year, with its satin finish, chrome and wood accents, pivoting touchscreen display, and separate 'towers' for its twin boilers, water tank, and bean hopper. It's huge, but if you've got the space, it's worth every centimeter.

This is a manual espresso machine, but is packed with thoughtful features that make achieving a delicious brew that little bit easier. For example, there are built-in scales beneath the grinder and grouphead to help you grind exactly the right dose of beans, then weigh your extracted coffee and stop the pump at precisely the right time. There's a temperature sensor to help you avoid scalding your milk, and if you really want a helping hand, you can scan a code on a bag of Meraki's own coffee beans, and the machine will adjust its own settings accordingly.

The standout feature, though, is its dual boiler, which is something we rarely see in a home espresso machine. "Not only does it produce exceedingly well-extracted espresso over and over again, it easily froths a range of milks without losing pressure or cooling down," said our reviewer Josh Russell.
