Expert: Most people who think they have ADHD actually don't
Prof. Tomasz Hanć from Adam Mickiewicz University, a specialist in ADHD research, diagnosis and therapy, warns that the vast majority of people who believe they have ADHD do not actually meet the diagnostic criteria. At the same time, he highlights a paradox: in Poland, only one in ten adults who genuinely have ADHD receives a diagnosis. The issue involves both widespread self-diagnosis and a significant underdiagnosis of real cases.
