A recent news story revealed how close Quentin Tarantino actually was to commencing production on his 10th movie. Tarantino has long maintained that he will retire from filmmaking after directing his 10th feature, because he’s certain directors lose their mojo as they get older, and he’s deeply concerned about leaving behind an impeccable legacy. A few years ago, it was reported that his final film would be titled The Movie Critic , but the project fell apart. A more recent report revealed that Tarantino’s longtime cinematographer, Robert Richardson , dropped out of working with this year’s blockbuster Michael Jackson biopic in order to reunite with Tarantino. Richardson confirmed that Tarantino is now working on a different final film entirely and said that the filmmaker is headed in a “fresh” direction.

Nintendo has few series that are as widely popular as Mario Kart . Since the first game debuted on the Super Nintendo in 1992, the spin-off racing franchise has become the face of an entire subgenre of arcade racers that is beloved by both casual fans having fun and crashing out with friends, and hardcore gamers trying to set the best times. Nearly every entry has been received warmly upon release, and most have expanded on their predecessors, whether with new tracks, better graphics, more racers, or different mechanics that help them stand out. Anyone who owns a console generally has a good chance of owning some version of the game, too, as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe alone has sold over 70.59 million copies, good for the fifth-most of any game all-time and ahead of even the original Super Mario Bros .

The final Bugatti built at Molsheim by the original company is being sold out of Missouri.

Virgil Exner of Chrysler fame transformed forgotten chassis into a dramatic auto show car.

Straight-eight engine was equipped from new with a supercharger and claimed 197 hp.

Most classic Bugattis are special by collector car standards, but this one occupies an entirely different league. Currently for sale in the United States is what’s widely regarded as the final true Bugatti built at the company’s historic Molsheim factory, and its remarkable story almost never happened.

The car is a 1965 Bugatti Type 101C-X based on chassis 101506, one of just seven Type 101 chassis ever produced. Better still, it left the factory equipped with the optional supercharged straight eight that bumped power from 133 hp (135 PS) to 197 hp (200 PS), making it one of the most desirable examples before you even get to its extraordinary bodywork.

The Type 101 itself represented Bugatti’s difficult attempt at rebuilding after World War II. Based largely on the earlier Type 57 , it combined familiar engineering with updated styling, but customers weren’t convinced. Sales never took off, and the final chassis remained without bodywork at Molsheim until 1961.

That’s when American collector E. Allen Henderson bought the bare chassis, and a couple of years later his friend, publisher L. Scott Bailey, realised it could become the perfect canvas for famed designer Virgil Exner . Fresh from his influential Chrysler years and already imagining modern revivals of legendary marques like Duesenberg, Exner saw an opportunity too good to ignore.

The chassis was shortened, the seating position reworked, and the design shipped to Carrozzeria Ghia , which transformed the forgotten Bugatti into a dramatic roadster. Revealed at the 1965 Turin Auto Salon – where Lamborghini would show the naked Miura chassis for the first time – the finished Bugatti Type 101C-X featured a proud horseshoe grille, fashionably 1960s rectangular headlights, a retro-style split windshield and Corvette-like tail.

Although Exner hoped the car might spark renewed production, that never happened. Instead, it passed through the hands of several notable collectors before joining General William Lyon’s renowned collection, where it remained for more than four decades. Along the way it appeared at Pebble Beach and even reunited with the other surviving Type 101s in France.

Now offered by classic car dealer Hyman Ltd. in Missouri, the largely unrestored one off is almost completely original and represents the last chapter in Bugatti’s first volume. For that reason, you’re probably going to need a couple of million to get your hands on it, but that’s still less than half what you’ll pay for a new Tourbillon .

Republican senator, who died Saturday, had a global reach few could rival and was vital in shaping Trump’s worldview

It was revealing that one of the first tributes to Lindsey Graham, a US senator who died on Saturday aged 71, came from Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s national security minister, a far-right provocateur who recently caused widespread anger by sharing footage of himself taunting bound activists who had been trying to sail to Gaza with aid.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, was not far behind, calling Graham a “great friend of Israel and a cherished friend of mine”, and he was quickly followed by Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who described him as “a true defender of freedom and the values that make our world safer”.

As reported by WCCFtech , the Dutch consumer organization Stichting Massaschade & Consument now believes it has an even stronger case in its €400 million ($457 million) lawsuit against Sony over the 30% rate it charges on every game sold through the PlayStation Store, a "Sony tax" that retail games are not subject to⁠—the same retail games Sony has announced it will discontinue by 2028 .

"The end of physical discs removes the last place where a PlayStation game could still be bought and sold at a competitive price," SM&C chair Lucia Melcherts told WCCFtech. "No discs means no second-hand market and no alternative to the PlayStation Store, so from 2028, Sony alone decides what a game costs and even how long you are allowed to use it.

"That is exactly the harm our Fair PlayStation claim is about: a price can never be fair when the buyer is left with no ownership and no alternative."

It's illustrative to compare this situation with Epic's Apple Store challenges and the antitrust lawsuits faced by Steam ⁠—with one brought against it by another, different Dutch consumer group . Apple, which sells the hardware and maintains its own storefront⁠—a system which closely maps to Sony's⁠—was ultimately forced to relinquish some of control of that ecosystem.

Meanwhile, Steam's flat 30% take (sound familiar?) from everyone on the platform, be they EA or a bedroom programmer, is my least favorite part of my preferred storefront. But it doesn't own our PCs the way a console manufacturer or Apple controls a non-jailbroken device. Indeed, you can install alternate operating systems, competing storefronts, and even physical PC games onto Steam Decks and Steam Machines.

Tweaktown reported PlayStation's 2025 revenue as ¥4.69 trillion ($29 billion), but a $427 million lawsuit isn't anything to sneeze at, and the company is likely to face other challenges to its policies around the PlayStation Store. Whether it's physical discs or some other concession to consumers and watchdogs, as advocated by analyst Daniel Ahmad , something's gotta give.
