Doctors are increasingly confirming that drinking 3–5 cups of coffee a day has health benefits, and that popular beliefs about coffee being harmful are largely exaggerated. Research does not support claims that moderate coffee consumption flushes out magnesium, harms the heart, or dangerously raises blood pressure. In reasonable amounts, coffee may actually reduce the risk of certain diseases.
