Steam Now Lets Non-Users Gift Games Directly Without a Steam Account

Valve has updated Steam so that people without a Steam account can now purchase specific games as gifts directly, without needing to buy a gift card first. Previously, since 2024, non-users could only buy gift cards for the appropriate amount. The new feature makes it much easier for friends and family unfamiliar with the platform — such as parents or grandparents — to gift games to players.
