SpaceX rocket part hits the Moon, creating a dust plume and crater

A discarded SpaceX rocket part slammed into the Moon, creating a dust plume and a new crater. South Korea's Korea Aerospace Research Institute captured before-and-after images of the impact site, and a telescope in Chile detected signs of the resulting dust plume. No observatory was able to observe the collision in real time.
