Hackers steal bitcoin from "cold" wallets via code flaw in Coinkite device
Customers of Canadian crypto firm Coinkite lost bitcoin stored in so-called cold wallets — devices considered highly secure — after hackers exploited a single code flaw. The vulnerability went undetected even by AI-based security software. The attack challenges the widely held belief that cold storage is immune to theft.
