Rybakina beats Osaka in three-set thriller in Toronto

Elena Rybakina beat Naomi Osaka in three sets in the WTA 1000 quarter-finals in Toronto, with the match starting after 1:30 AM Polish time following a walkover in the Gauff–Bencic match. Osaka held control for much of the contest and led in the second set 4:2, but Rybakina fought back to claim victory in the deciding third set. It was the first career meeting between the two players.
