Beef and dairy responsible for 41% of farmland-linked biodiversity damage globally
New research from the University of Oxford finds that beef and dairy production account for 41% of all biodiversity damage linked to global farmland. Cattle farming occupies vast areas of land, displacing natural habitats. The findings suggest that reducing consumption of animal products could significantly ease pressure on ecosystems.
