Polish tourists stranded in Sicily by Etna eruption — slept at airport for 24 hours

Mount Etna's volcanic activity has caused severe flight disruptions in Sicily, stranding large numbers of tourists including Poles. Travellers such as Aneta Kubacka were forced to sleep at the airport for 24 hours. While airlines claim to be managing the situation, many passengers had to book alternative flights at their own expense, costing several thousand złoty.
