Pixel Watch 5 gains breathing emergency detection and blood pressure trends
Google is adding a Breathing Emergency detection feature to the Pixel Watch 5 that monitors sustained drops in blood oxygen and can automatically alert emergency services. The new Health Guardian tool in the Google Health app also adds blood pressure and insulin resistance trend monitoring — without direct measurements — as proactive early-warning tools. All features will roll out to Pixel Watch 3, Watch 4, Pixel Watch 5 and compatible Fitbit devices this autumn.
