ICE plans to spend $20 million on electric shock gloves for agents
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) plans to spend up to $20 million on electrified gloves that deliver painful shocks, to be used by agents to subdue detainees. The plans were outlined in a Department of Homeland Security notice, with an unspecified quantity of devices to be delivered by March. The initiative has raised concerns about the use of excessive force against migrants.
