Szwed finishes sixth in 400m final at European Championships

Poland's Maksymilian Szwed finished sixth in the 400m final at the European Championships in Birmingham, clocking 45.06 seconds. The Polish sprinter was unable to challenge for a medal. Gold went to Great Britain's Matthew Hudson-Smith.
