Oil from grounded tanker reaches Oman's mainland beaches

Oman's Environment Authority confirmed on Wednesday that oil leaking from a grounded tanker off the country's coast had reached mainland beaches. Strong winds and monsoon currents are spreading the spill, threatening marine habitats and a nearby protected area. Authorities fear the oil could also reach other islands in the region.
