Denisovans may have been giants compared to their Homo erectus neighbours

New research suggests that Denisovans, the extinct archaic humans who lived across Asia, may have been significantly larger in stature than the comparatively petite Homo erectus populations living alongside them. The findings offer rare physical insight into the Denisovans, who are known largely from bone fragments and ancient DNA.
