Meta deactivates 756,000 accounts of Australians under 16

Meta has deactivated 756,000 accounts believed to belong to Australians under the age of 16, in response to Australia's ban on social media use by minors. Australian authorities have warned that further regulatory action against the platform is possible if enforcement proves insufficient.
