Flock makes anti-stalker cop tool mandatory for all agencies
License plate reader company Flock announced it will make its anti-abuse detection tool mandatory for all agencies with access to its data. The tool automatically suspends access when an officer's activity matches defined criteria for abnormal behaviour, such as tracking private individuals. The policy change follows the arrest of three officers at a Georgia sheriff's office who used Flock cameras to stalk acquaintances. Previously, only a third of agencies had opted in to the free tool.
