Wachowski: Hollywood won't fund "The Hunted" due to its transgender cast

Lilly Wachowski, co-director of the "Matrix" franchise, says Hollywood studios are interested in her new dystopian political thriller "The Hunted" — budgeted at around $10 million — but refuse to finance it because of its all-transgender cast. She co-wrote the script with her partner Mickey Ray Mahoney. Speaking on "The Business" podcast, she said: "People like it, but they really don't want to do it." She is now exploring alternative ways to get the film made.
