Germany demands proof of military exemption from Ukrainian men of draft age

Germany is introducing new requirements for Ukrainian refugees of military age. Men who arrived in the country after a specified date must provide documentation proving they are exempt from military service in Ukraine. Without such proof they will be denied temporary protection status, and those staying illegally may face deportation.
