Polish Armed Forces top 220,000 soldiers, with ambition to reach half a million

Poland's Armed Forces boast over 220,000 active-duty soldiers, with an ambitious target of reaching half a million troops. Nearly 1,400 Polish soldiers are deployed on ten foreign missions, while thousands more guard national borders and critical infrastructure at home. New recruitment programmes are also being expanded.
