Mount Etna ash shuts Sicily's largest airport for fifth straight day
Ash spewing from Mount Etna has kept Sicily's largest airport closed for a fifth consecutive day, right in the middle of the peak summer holiday period. Ongoing eruptions continue to disrupt the travel plans of thousands of tourists trying to fly off the island. There are no immediate signs of the situation improving.
