PBS affiliate risks losing 50TB of archive data after cloud provider went silent

St. Louis PBS affiliate Nine PBS filed a lawsuit on July 28 against Iron Mountain Data Centers in Denver District Court, seeking access to 50TB of data stored at the company's Denver facility. The channel's cloud storage provider, Open Source Storage (OSS), has gone unresponsive, and Iron Mountain refuses to release the data. The archive spans 70 years and includes over 11,000 files covering the COVID-19 pandemic, East St. Louis history, and the Great Flood of 1993.
