Audrey Werro wins European 800m gold ahead of Hodgkinson and Broeders-Bol

Audrey Werro claimed gold in the 800 metres at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, beating world indoor record holder Keely Hodgkinson and 400m star Femke Broeders-Bol. Werro had earlier this summer surpassed Hodgkinson's personal best, recording the third-fastest time in history over the distance. The final had been billed as the highlight event of these championships.
