Ancient settlement with ~30 longhouses unearthed in western Germany

Archaeologists excavating a site in western Germany have identified the remains of around 30 longhouses forming a remarkably dense ancient settlement. The structures offer new insights into how early communities organised their living space. Researchers regard the find as an exceptionally valuable example of ancient urban planning.
