Poles hold 456 billion zloty in cash — among Europe's top cash hoarders

According to Polish Development Fund data, Polish households held 456.37 billion zloty in cash at the end of Q1 2026, representing 11.1% of all household financial assets. Cash is the second-largest savings component after current deposits, placing Poland among Europe's top cash-holding nations.
