Rubio rejected Zelensky's request for Patriot missiles for Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelensky made a request to the U.S. for the sale of missiles for Patriot systems amid intensifying Russian attacks on Ukraine. Secretary of State Marco Rubio rejected this possibility, but mentioned the option of Ukraine itself launching Patriot production. Rubio acknowledged, however, that this solution would not work in the short term.
