Israeli minister wants to resettle 2 million Palestinians from Gaza
Far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir announced a plan to resettle Palestinians from Gaza abroad. In the first year, 250,000 people would leave, with the rest of around two million residents over the next six years. Forced displacement of civilian populations from occupied territories is considered a war crime under the Geneva Conventions. The announcement coincided with campaigning ahead of heated elections in Israel.
