France to allocate over one billion euros for farmers hit by drought

French Agriculture Minister Annie Genevard announced a relief package worth more than one billion euros for farmers affected by drought and heat waves. An estimated 30,000 to 35,000 farms are in difficult financial situations — nearly 10% of all farms in France. The plan includes compensation for crop losses, financial liquidity support, and funding for seed and feed purchases.
