DESI releases largest 2D map of universe: 4 billion objects

The DESI Legacy Imaging Survey released the largest two-dimensional map of the universe, covering three-quarters of the sky and cataloguing nearly 4 billion objects. The publicly available database contains stars, galaxies, supernovae, gravitational lenses and much more.
