Supervolcano discovered beneath eastern England: active 454 million years ago

British scientists have discovered remains of a massive ancient supervolcano hidden beneath eastern England — primarily under The Wash bay and Norfolk and Lincolnshire terrain. Scientists estimate it was active around 454 million years ago. According to researchers, it poses no current threat to residents.
