Neolithic caves in Granada hold evidence of cannibalism 7000 years ago
Researchers analyzing hundreds of human bone fragments from Neolithic caves in Spain's Granada province found traces indicating cannibalism. Dating showed the events took place around 5300–4950 BC. The bones bear macabre marks whose character suggests deliberate human actions to the researchers.
