"Curie" microscope with tenfold higher resolution may help study gut diseases
Scientists hope a unique microscope named "Curie", operating at tenfold higher resolution than conventional microscopes, will reveal the causes of incurable inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Over half a million people in Britain have non-specific bowel inflammation (IBD), and cases among young people are rising worldwide. Researchers believe the new tool will open the way to effective therapies.

pracuję z mikroskopami konfokalnymi od lat i ta rozdzielczość robi wrażenie, ciekawe jak sobie poradzą z przygotowaniem próbek tkankowych bo to zawsze był największy problem
