Driver fled crash scene where passenger died: detained after manhunt

A tragic crash occurred on 13 September in Ku in Tłuszcz municipality. A 42-year-old Toyota driver lost control on a road curve and struck a fence — a 49-year-old passenger died. The man fled without providing aid. After a hours-long manhunt involving dogs, drones and a helicopter, he was detained the next evening in Stryjki — he was intoxicated and had a lifetime court ban on driving.
