Polish fighter jets scrambled after Russian strikes on Ukraine
On Saturday, September 19, after 9:30 a.m., Poland scrambled its military aircraft in response to strikes by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory using cruise drones. The Operational Command of the Armed Forces deployed forces and assets through the Air Operations Center. Ground air defense systems and radar reconnaissance were put on alert. The operations are precautionary in nature and include special surveillance of areas adjacent to threatened zones.
