Building explosion in Athens near Acropolis: six dead, including British national

An explosion — probably caused by a gas leak — brought down a building in the tourist district of Plaka in Athens, near the Acropolis. Six people died: four Americans, one Greek citizen, and one British national. The mayor of Athens called the event "an incredible catastrophe"; foreign tourists are still being sought.
