This weekend, the United States will celebrate its 250th birthday, a momentous occasion that has been anticipated across the land going back to the beginning of the new year. The country is awash in patriotism in many ways, from city streets lined with red, white, and blue decorations to advertisements honoring the milestone, and even a new Larry David series revisiting famous moments from American history with cringe humor and petty grievances. None of this would have happened, though, without the actions of key Revolutionary War players who fought against tyranny and secured independence from Great Britain. Everyone knows General George Washington , the founding fathers, and Paul Revere , but a new graphic novel Kickstarter, courtesy of the creator of the original Prince of Persia video games, Jordan Mechner , from Oni Press and Magnetic Press, is shining a light on the unsung heroes of the war effort.

Citi Slashes Bitcoin Target to $82,000 as ETF Money Heads for the Exits

Citigroup took a red pen to its crypto forecasts on Tuesday, cutting its 12-month price targets for bitcoin after the ETF flows that carried the market higher went into reverse.

The bank now sees bitcoin at $82,000 a year out, down from $112,000. It’s the second time Citi has trimmed those numbers in 2026. An earlier round of cuts had already pulled bitcoin down from $143,000.

What changed most is how Citi thinks about Bitcoin ETFs. The bank had been penciling in $10 billion of net inflows over the coming year. It now expects zero.

That is a big swing, and it reflects what has happened in the funds themselves: BTC ETFs have shed roughly $3.3 billion in 2026, and June alone saw $4 billion walk out the door — the worst month on record for the products.

Citi’s analysts tied the downgrade to a mix of softer investor demand, those negative ETF flows, and a Washington that has yet to move on digital asset legislation.

They also raised a more specific worry: that digital asset treasury companies, which have loaded up on bitcoin, might start selling . Add in a broader shift of money toward anything with an AI label, and the setup for crypto has turned defensive.

If things get worse, they could get a lot worse. Citi’s bear case — built on a recession and a steady drip of ETF withdrawals — puts BTC at $53,000 over the next 12 months.

Bitcoin price jumps above $60,000

Bitcoin currently trades at $60,041, up $1,698 (2.91%) on the day, per the live chart dated July 1, 2026.

Over the past 24 hours it swung between a low of $57,717.55 and a high of $60,473.99, with the biggest push coming after 9:00 a.m., when price broke from around $58,500 up past $60,400.

Volume ran to 446,377 BTC, or $26.85 billion. Market cap sits at $1.20 trillion, according to Bitcoin Magazine data .

Back in April, Citi said adding bitcoin alongside gold could improve portfolio performance, arguing that splitting a traditional 5% gold allocation between the two assets enhanced returns while providing better resilience during inflationary and bond market stress.

The report also noted BTC was increasingly behaving as both a geopolitical hedge and a neutral settlement asset, with analysts pointing to strong price momentum, bearish derivatives positioning that could fuel further gains, and BTC outperforming gold during recent market volatility.

Opened in 1971 on the site of a former Royal Air Force base, few places in Northern Ireland tell the story of the Troubles as powerfully as the former HM Prison.

Referred to as 'Maze Prison', 'Long Kesh' or 'the H-Blocks', it became one of the most infamous prisons in Europe and worldwide, housing both republican and loyalist paramilitary prisoners during decades of conflict.

The prison is best known for pivotal events that shaped modern Irish and British history, including the Blanket Protest, the 1981 Hunger Strike led by Bobby Sands (whose face you may have seen on murals around Belfast), and the dramatic 1983 mass escape of 38 Irish Republican Army prisoners.

This was the largest prison escape in the history of the British Isles.

These events transformed the Maze from an ordinary prison into an internationally-recognised symbol of political conflict.

Today, little remains of the vast prison complex after most of it was demolished in the 2000s. Even though a stalemate exists on its destiny, several significant structures still survive, including the Grade A-listed H-Block 5 and the prison hospital, preserved due to their historic importance.

Although the site is not generally open as a tourist attraction, visitors interested in dark tourism, political history or the legacy of the Troubles often stop nearby to appreciate the immense historical significance of what once stood here.

Whether viewed as a place of tragedy, resilience or political change, Long Kesh remains one of the most historically significant and thought-provoking sites in Northern Ireland, offering a powerful reminder of a conflict whose legacy continues to shape the region today.

After what appeared to be cryptic indications that prompted online speculation and excitement, fans of the B-21 Raider won’t be seeing America’s newest bomber in any Fourth of July celebrations this week, the Air Force confirmed to TWZ Wednesday morning. The aircraft, two of which are now undergoing flight testing, will remain at Edwards Air Force Base in California.

Asked by TWZ to “confirm B-21 will not take part in any 250th celebration events in DC or anywhere else,” an Air Force official offered the following response: “The B-21 will not take part in any flyovers for this week’s celebration.”

The official further clarified that the aircraft won’t take part in any such events, even though the flyovers in Washington, D.C. continue through July 10.

The Air Force official’s statement about the B-21 not taking part in any Independence Day celebrations adds additional clarity to comments Air Force Secretary Troy Meink made to Air & Space Forces Magazine last week about the topic.

“No, no, the program is going really, really well, but the planes are out at Edwards, and we just started doing refueling,” Meink told the publication. “So to get a B-21 here [for the Fourth], not going to happen.”

TWZ was first to report on the Raider’s initial refueling trials.

The first pre-production B-21 arrived at Edwards Air Force Base following its maiden flight in 2023 . A second pre-production Raider took to the skies last year . The Air Force is eventually expected to take delivery of a total of six pre-production examples of the new stealth bomber. Non-flying airframes are also being used to support ongoing testing .

The Air Force expects to procure 100 of these jets, and possibly significantly more. You can read more about the program in our story here .

Speculation about whether the B-21 would make an appearance over the nation’s capital was mainly fueled by a campaign of cryptic videos and an image posted on social media by the jet’s manufacturer, Northrop Grumman.

A 30-second video titled “Stealth Meets Spotlight: B‑21 Blows Out 250 Candles to Celebrate America’s Birthday” was posted on YouTube 11 days ago.

It opens with credits showing “Utah Salt Flats” and then shows the silhouette of a Raider followed by one flying low and blowing out 250 candles on pillars placed in a row before roaring off with the words “Happy Birthday, America” emblazoned on the screen.

A seven-second version of that video, posted on X July 25 and titled: “Some things stay off the radar. America’s 250th isn’t one of them,” just shows the silhouette and the candles being blown out.

The company declined comment about the social media campaign. It deferred questions about whether the Raider would fly in any July 4 celebrations to the Air Force.

In a post on his social media outlet, President Donald Trump added further fodder for speculation about whether Raider would emerge for the festivities.

“Last night’s Rally was packed — 45,000 people. July 4th will be a step beyond anything you’ve ever seen,” Trump proclaimed on June 27. “The Military flyovers will be the best, EVER — The most planes, the newest planes, the fastest planes!…”

Even before these posts, the military aviation community of X had been speculating about whether the Raider would make an appearance at America’s birthday bash in the capital.

Though the B-21 won’t be the centerpiece of any flyovers, aviation buffs in the D.C. area already got a chance to see several iconic aircraft, including B-2A Spirit and B-52 Stratofortress bombers, as well as fighters and other aircraft. The new Air Force One bridge aircraft is also supposed to make an appearance.

More flyovers are expected over D.C. through July 10 as we noted at the top of our story.

So, unless there is a well coordinated conspiracy inside the USAF to surprise the public by denying the B-21’s attendance at America 250, the Raider will remain off the radar, which is what it was designed to do.

Point and click horror can be really tricky to pull off, it can lack a sense of agency over your own actions as characters are funneled into certain choices. But it's even harder to do well when the thing you're using to point and click with is your own temperamental phone.

Instead of using a mouse and keyboard or a controller, Unhinged—Netflix's latest horror game from Zach Cregger and David Fincher—requires players to connect their phone and use that instead. It functions as Ava, the protagonist's phone as she calls her friend Claire throughout the game for help, all while running away from some creep covered in blood.

(Image credit: Netflix Games) I see the vision with this, and to be fair it certainly makes you feel immersed when you're texting Claire for help or direction, or using its torch to help light the way through the dark hallways of your apartment building after a devastating hurricane takes out the electricity. But that immersion can also backfire.

Why was Claire calling me when the killer was stood a few feet away? More importantly, why the hell didn't Ava put her phone on silent? I actually got so frustrated at this halfway through I went so far as to put my own phone on 'do not disturb' to try and solve the issue. Unhinged is a very short horror game, clocking in at around 30 minutes long, and Claire was lighting up my phone for almost all of that.

Another area where the phone did more harm than good was using it as a mouse to point and click your way through the story. Again, I see the aim with this, to try and make players feel more immersed as if they were actually walking around the semi-abandoned building with nothing but their phone to light their way. But I also found it to be quite a temperamental tool, with accuracy being quite hard to master in some of the QTEs where you have to make a quick escape or reach for something to defend yourself before the man covered in blood finally lunges at you.

Netflix Games Netflix Games Netflix Games Netflix Games It wasn't an unforgivably awful experience, but if you're going to make people use something other than a controller or keyboard then there has to be a better reason than 'it's cool', and it should work just as well if not better.

All of that aside, though, Unhinged was a pleasant point and click horror experience. The setting was suitably creepy, and while there wasn't much suspense that's to be expected from a meager 30-minute horror game.

What carried Unhinged more than anything else, though, was the acting. Zoë Kravitz stars as the protagonist, and then there's Sadie Sink as the well-meaning friend and Troy Baker as the killer. All of their performances were absolutely amazing and did a vastly better job at immersing me in this story than my phone/controller substitute.

So if you have 30 minutes to spare, a Netflix subscription, and are willing to download Netflix's controller app then I'd recommend checking Unhinged out. If it had a longer run time and actually let me use a keyboard and mouse then my praise would likely be higher, but it's still a good horror game with what it had to work with.
