World's longest flights: a new record-setter route launches in 2026
Ultra-long-haul flights are among the fastest-growing segments in aviation, with nonstop routes now covering nearly half the Earth's circumference. Current record holders include Singapore Airlines' Singapore–New York route (around 18 hours) and the Sydney–London service. From 2026, a new route is set to become the world's longest, topping existing rankings.
