Trump asked Putin to free US soldier held in Russian prison — and he did

Vladimir Putin agreed to release an American soldier who had spent four years in a Russian prison, following a special request from Donald Trump. The man has returned to the United States. Five other Americans remain imprisoned in Russia, and may be used by the Kremlin as bargaining chips in negotiations with Washington.
