Four US states seek $1.4 trillion from Meta over claims of deliberately addicting minors

California, Colorado, Kentucky and New Jersey have accused Meta of deliberately designing Instagram and Facebook to be addictive for minors. The four states are collectively seeking $1.4 trillion in fines from Mark Zuckerberg's company. The case is being compared to landmark lawsuits against the tobacco industry.
