Hundreds of flights cancelled as Mount Etna ash drifts across Sicily

An eruption of Mount Etna in Sicily has caused hundreds of flight cancellations over the past week. Drifting volcanic ash severely disrupted air travel in the region, forcing the closure of Catania Airport. Etna is Europe's tallest active volcano.
