Global sea temperature hits record 21°C as Europe faces its fifth heatwave

Average global sea surface temperatures reached a record high of 21 degrees Celsius last month, according to new data. At the same time, much of Europe is experiencing its fifth heatwave of the summer, with temperatures in parts of France soaring to 40°C.
