Magnitude 7.7 earthquake strikes off Indonesia's Flores coast

A powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck off the coast of Indonesia's Flores region on Saturday at 5:58 a.m. local time, according to the USGS. The epicentre was located approximately 161 kilometres northeast of Labuan Bajo, at a depth of 10 kilometres. The quake was also reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
